Hear Something More than music in our Ipod, a sleek and slim gadget almost the size of the cigarette pack that can not only store 10,000 songs, all-important date files and memorable photographs, but also radio shows.
Yes, the iPOd is now becoming a home to the endless chatter of people who simply want to share mundane stories with others who might care to listen. Known as iPodcasting, or simply podcasting, it is a form of mass communication where ordinary people broadcast and share informations via the internet. Podcast are not restricted to any genre. Talk about anything under the sun: news, movies, opinions, daily lives, and personal experience. There’s absolutely no limit and everyone is free to air their own shows.
iPodcasting is clearly a blend of iPod and broadcasting, though it is not exclusive to iPods. A podcast is in MP3 format (standard used especially for digitally transmitting music over the Internet) and the audio player has to be MP3 compatible. To listen to the podcast, the information is first downloaded from a source on the web and is then stored in ones computer. So far, the iPod has been the preferred device of podcast subscribers.

Macromedia Fireworks: Indispensible Web Design Tool
Saturday, September 25, 2010Since its introduction in 1998, Macromedia Fireworks has helped make Web designers more productive. The latest release, Macromedia Fireworks MX, carries on the tradition with even more automation and a sllek new interface.
Like other products in the MX line, Fireworks includes an interface that features better palette docking and a central Properties panel. The reorganized toolbox now arranges tools by function.
This small enhancement points towards a more essential change: modeless editing. Fireworks intelligently switches between bitmap and vector editing, depending on the type of object, layer, or URL you select. Web developers who produce a large number of similar page elements will love Fireworks' new automation features, which includes smarter button symbols and a Data-Driven Graphics Wizard. In this version, a button's text label and URL are considered attributes of the instance(or copy) rather than aspects of the master symbol. This means that you can use one button symbol to populate an entire Web site.
You can now designate text, images, or hot spots as variables. The Data-Driven Graphics Wizard then prompts you to link the Fireworks document to a structured XML file that contains alternative text phrases, replacement image filenames, and different URL destinations. Once you match the variables in the Fireworks template to the tags in the XML document, the program automatically generates variations of the source graphic.
Fireworks can now reconstitute a composition from an existing HTML table when the source PNG file is no longer accessible. And a front-caching feature lets Windows and Mac designers display a Fireworks file, without worrying about font substitutions. The Quick Export function offers preconfigured output options for leading HTML editors like Adobe GoLive, Macromedia Dreamweaver, and Microsoft FrontPage.

BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider launched...
Friday, May 28, 2010Research In Motion a Canadian mobile phone maker is hard at work with the development of a new BlackBerry device, the long rumored BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider, and a new photos with the device have just emerged into the wild. Running under the BlackBerry 6 OS, the new device is reportedly headed to the market with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, which is complemented by a virtual QWERTY keypad, as some of the images below show.
The yet unannounced handset marks a shift from the popular candybar QWERTY devices included in the company’s Bold series, given the sliding design, while also bringing into the mix some features from the Storm smartphones, with that touchscreen display it should sport. The screen boasts a 360 x 480 pixel resolution, and it seems that the SurePress technology won’t be present into the mix, yet specific details on what it should include are still missing.
Among the specifications that the BlackBerry Bold 9800 Slider might come to the market with, we can count 512 MB of RAM, coupled with 4 GB of on-board memory and a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. Wi-Fi connectivity should be present on the device too, as well as a 5-megapixel photo snapper and a trackpad.

Nokia Sparrow multi-core computer...
Saturday, September 19, 2009Last day news said that the upcoming Nokia Sparrow multi-core computer will be running under Linux OS. Sadly, although its specs are highly elevated, it seems that the actual device is expected to hit the market at a later time, perhaps sometime in 2011. But, the company already has a prototype of the device which would show that the upcoming Nokia Sparrow does not feature the same design line as the current netbooks do, rather it comes closer to the MID area, while also resembling in a way Nokia’s N800 Internet tablet.
With this compact mobile computer, it is expected to come with multi-slide keyboard, providing different layouts/keys in accordance to the direction in which it is slid. At the same time, the display of the device is also able to slide in different directions offering these way different functionalities, somehow like the Nokia N97 tilting display. The keyboard also of the upcoming Nokia computer seems to come with a diamond shape and elevated keys inverted to each other. What is interesting thing about the Nokia Sparrow is its new, transparent widget-based interface. Each application that is running on the computer will get its own semi-transparent widget where it will place its content. At the same time, multiple applications can be stored in the memory for long periods of time.

Monday, May 12, 2008 Sony Ericsson adds its first UMTS handset to the Walkman range of music phones bringing the total number of phones in the range to four. The W900 is a high quality fully specified music player, phone and imaging device capable of super fast downloads of all types of multimedia - music, video and graphics. It follows the highly successful global market launch of the W800. Two previously announced Walkman phones are also about to launch, the W600 in the Americas and W550 in the rest of the world, meaning there are now Walkman phones meeting a broad spectrum of mobile music needs and price segments.
As a music player, the W900 makes it easy to import, transfer, manage and play music from operators’ over the air (OTA) music download services, allowing tracks to be downloaded directly to the phone while on the move and, from a PC when tracks have been copied from the owner’s CD collection.

Transferring digital music files from a PC to the phone is a simple “drag and drop” affair and the W900 is also fully compatible with user copied content from all leading music management software packages. This si particularly useful for consumers already owning another type of digital music player who want to transfer tracks that originated from their CD collection on to the W900.

Technology Innovation...
Moving on to present day, by now you probably have heard the term “dual-core”. Just what exactly is this technology? To put it simply, it’s two processors sharing the same space of silicon. Up until recently we’ve only been mostly exposed to single-processor systems, and in some cases, two or more processors working in parallel. So, what exactly does dual-core bring to the table?
First and foremost, having two independent processors will allow for two separate streams of instructions to run at the same time, effectively doubling performance assuming that the software is designed to make use of the setup, which isn’t quite the case yet. For example, while playing games, one processor could be handling the computer AI, while the other one is taking care of the physics. Dual-core also takes a lot less space than having two actual processors on the same board, and saves energy because of the decreased power consumption of its architecture. It has one big disadvantage, however. As mentioned earlier, the software has to be able to make use of both cores, otherwise the advantage in them is lost, so investing in the technology this early might be a waste of money, since the operating systems and programs still have some of catching up to do, and computing trends have shown that prices tend to drop down significantly as time goes on and the market becomes acclimated to the new products.

Innovative Laser Mouse...
The over indentation on the left flank of the mouse is crafted to cradle the thumb comfortably. Adjacent to the indentation is a set of thumb controls for navigation back and forward, useful when surfing the internet. It also includes an application switch button, which acts as an alternative to the ALT+TAB function. The solid exterior is void of any loose panels and absent of any battery doors thanks to its rechargeable internal battery. A battery indicator is also on the mouse. For those who are constantly on the move, you may have to find another alternative, no thanks to its bulky dock and AC adaptor. The buttons can also be re-assigned to user preferences.
